Blood is the most precious gift one can give to another. Every day someone in the world needs blood to survive. A person's decision to donate blood can save a life. There is a constant need for a regular supply of blood, as blood can only be stored for a limited time before use. A sufficient number of healthy people need to donate blood regularly so that blood is always available and wherever it is needed. There are some diseases like thalassemia and haemophilia where regular blood transfusion is mandatory for the patients. Donating blood is very easy, usually taking only 10 to 15 minutes. It is worth noting that donating blood does not weaken a person. After the 120 day cycle blood cells are destroyed and new cells are produced by our body's normal physiology. So by donating blood every three months there is an opportunity to save a human life and use their blood.
