My Visit to a Place of Historical Interest | A Historical Place I have Visited Paragraph for All Classes JSC/SSC/HSC
A historical place is a place that bears witness to history. It certainly has some important past events notable in history. A visit to a historical site is not only interesting and exciting but also educational. It is my spontaneous habit to visit the historical places of our country whenever I get time and opportunity as it gives me great pleasure.
Last winter I went to the historic place of Bagerhat. The place is famous for its sixty-domed mosque and the shrine of Khan Jahan Ali. I along with my two friends started our journey on the appointed day and reached the destination after a journey of eight hours. It was night when we reached there. So stay overnight at a residential hotel in Bagerhat. The next morning we went out to see the sixty-dome mosque and the shrine of Khan Jahan Ali. We reached there by rickshaw three miles from Bagerhat. We were surprised to see the architectural structure of the mosque. It stands on sixty pillars and has seventy magnificent curved domes.
The size of the mosque is very large and impressive. Next to the mosque is a long water tank called 'Ghoradighi'. The mosque has been declared a World Heritage Site. In fact, this mosque is one of the best tourist attractions in Bangladesh. We learned that this mosque was used not only for prayer but also as a court of justice. We are also delighted to see the unique design of Khan Jahan Ali's shrine. It stands on a high ground. The tomb is made of stone. There is a big tank in front of the shrine. There are some crocodiles in this big tank. They come when the caretaker calls them. It was a wonderful experience. Then we visited many social works of Khan Jahan Ali like roads, government buildings etc. It was a great pleasure for me to come to Bagerhat. It was indeed a rewarding tour. Sweet memories of this visit will remain fresh in my mind forever.

ঐতিহাসিক স্থান এমন একটি স্থান যা ইতিহাসের সাক্ষ্য বহন করে। এর অবশ্যই ইতিহাসে উল্লেখযোগ্য কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অতীত ঘটনা রয়েছে। একটি ঐতিহাসিক স্থান পরিদর্শন শুধুমাত্র আকর্ষণীয় এবং ভ্রমনের জন্য নয়, শিক্ষামূলকও। সময় ও সুযোগ পেলেই আমাদের দেশের ঐতিহাসিক স্থানগুলো পরিদর্শন করা আমার স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত অভ্যাস কারণ এটি আমাকে অনেক আনন্দ দেয়।
গত শীতে গিয়েছিলাম ঐতিহাসিক স্থান বাগেরহাটে। জায়গাটি ষাট গম্বুজ মসজিদ এবং খান জাহান আলীর মাজারের জন্য বিখ্যাত। আমি আমার দুই বন্ধুর সাথে নির্ধারিত দিনে আমাদের যাত্রা শুরু করি এবং আট ঘন্টার যাত্রার পর গন্তব্যে পৌঁছাই। আমরা যখন সেখানে পৌঁছলাম তখন রাত হয়ে গেছে। তাই বাগেরহাটের একটি আবাসিক হোটেলে রাত্রি যাপন করুন। পরদিন সকালে আমরা ষাট গম্বুজ মসজিদ ও খান জাহান আলীর মাজার দেখতে বের হলাম। বাগেরহাট থেকে তিন মাইল দূরে রিকশায় করে আমরা সেখানে পৌঁছলাম। মসজিদের স্থাপত্য কাঠামো দেখে আমরা অবাক হয়ে গেলাম। এটি ষাটটি স্তম্ভের উপর দাঁড়িয়ে আছে এবং সত্তরটি চমৎকার বাঁকা গম্বুজ রয়েছে।
মসজিদের আয়তন অনেক বড় এবং চিত্তাকর্ষক। মসজিদের পাশেই রয়েছে 'ঘোড়াদিঘি' নামে একটি দীর্ঘ জলাশয়। মসজিদটিকে ওয়ার্ল্ড হেরিটেজ সাইট হিসেবে ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে। আসলে এই মসজিদটি বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম সেরা পর্যটন আকর্ষণ। আমরা জানতে পেরেছি যে এই মসজিদটি কেবল প্রার্থনার জন্য নয়, বিচারের আদালত হিসাবেও ব্যবহৃত হত। খান জাহান আলীর মাজারের অনন্য নকশা দেখে আমরাও আনন্দিত। এটি একটি উঁচু জমিতে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে। সমাধিটি পাথরের তৈরি। মাজারের সামনে একটি বড় ট্যাংক আছে। এই বড় ট্যাঙ্কে কিছু কুমির আছে। তত্ত্বাবধায়ক তাদের ডাকলে তারা আসে। এটা একটা চমৎকার অভিজ্ঞতা ছিল। তারপর আমরা খান জাহান আলীর অনেক সামাজিক কাজ যেমন রাস্তাঘাট, সরকারি ভবন ইত্যাদি পরিদর্শন করেছি।
বাগেরহাটে আসাটা আমার জন্য অনেক আনন্দের ছিল। এটা সত্যিই একটি পুরস্কৃত সফর ছিল. এই সফরের মধুর স্মৃতি আমার মনে চিরতর তাজা থাকবে।
