ফলে সে দেশে রেমিট্যান্স বাড়ে। তাই দেশের অর্থনৈতিক ব্যবস্থায় প্রবাসীদের ভূমিকা রয়েছে। নিজের লাইফস্টাইল কে পরিবর্তনের লক্ষ্যে বিভিন্ন দেশে প্রতিনিয়ত বাড়ছে অভিবাসীর সংখ্যা। উন্নয়নশীল দেশগুলোতে অভিবাসীর সংখ্যা বেশি। কারণ স্বল্পোন্নত দেশ থেকে মানুষ তাদের জীবনমান উন্নত করতে উন্নত দেশে যায়। এভাবেই তারা প্রবাসী হয়েছেন। কিন্তু প্রবাসজীবন স্বল্পোন্নত দেশগুলোর জন্য একটি আশীর্বাদ সরুপ।
