Many more countries around the world also celebrate holidays on this date, again some countries celebrate this holiday at other times.
Mother has been given a lot of respect and dignity in Islam. It has been narrated in Hadith Sharif that the paradise of the child under the feet of the mother, those who hurt the mother will never be able to go to Paradise. So we should not hurt our mother.
